Anthony Pinto was born to Joseph and Elizabeth (Quarantino)  Pinto in Park Slope Brooklyn, New York on May 15, 1938.  He had three siblings Vito Pinto, Mary Farrell and Angela Ryan.  Shortly afther he lost his father he headed off to work delivering meat at the age of 14 at United Meat Market.  He worked, went to school, joined the Nathional Guard and was always there to help support his family. Later on Tony would go on to be the proprietor of that very same meat market  where he worked as a child and continued to work until he retired (United Meat Market). It was in Park Slope were Tony met his soulmate Patricia Fearon and they purchased their first home on 16th Street.  They married on June 21, 1969.  One year later in August, 1970 his first daughter Tracy Lynn (Lang) was born and in February of 1972 Tricia Ann (Rojas) arrived. In 1977 the Pinto's purchased a summer home in Breezy Point and then in 1993 Breezy became their primary residence.  It was in Park Slope and Breezy Point that Tony met many of his lifelong friends that he cherished and adored. Tony became the proud and loving grandfather to Justina Marie Johnson  (1992), Rory Elizabeth Lang  (2003), Carly  Brea Lang (2005) and Anthony Pinto Rojas(2005).  He was a part of the Farrell's Sports Club, managed and played for the Fulton Floppers and also managed the Sandsox.

His legacy
A Hand To Lend
Tony woke up every morning with the intention on making someone's life better.  A loving husband and caring father his kindness and generosity did not stop in the confines of his home.  If you lost your job Tony would find work for you,  if you needed money his pocket's ran deep, if you needed help with a chore he gave you his muscle, if you couldn't figure out a problem he gave you his knowlege. But perhaps Tony's greatest gift was his compassion for friends and strangers who had been diagnosed with cancer.  He would tell them how his battle with lung cancer never stopped him from living life to it's fullest, by praying hard and by following doctors orders you still could have quality of life.  People always felt inspired by his advice, because they witnessed first hand what a wonderful life he was living as a cancer survivor.  He never stopped fighting for himself, for his family and for his friends.  He was a man of great courage never once complaining about the card's he was dealt.  Only accepting them as God's plan for him. You felt a high level of comfort in his presence, you felt the times you were having with him were the times of your life.  He will be missed more than word's can ever say.
